David Vernon was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His first live performance was at the age of 10 accompanied by renowned jazz musician Jimmy McDaniels. While growing up David continued to perform at local night clubs and piano lounges. It was there that he developed his own style of song interpretation and delivery that would continue to expand as he was introduced to many different genres of songs. September 13th 2001 David relocated to New York City and settled into a day job with a contracting company doing business exclusively for 501c arts organizations. In 2005 David released his CD entitled “By Myself…” which was the soundtrack for his debut Cabaret Show of the same title with Music Director Albee Barr. David has written, produced and performed several of his original concept shows and has also sung at many famous venues throughout NYC including Birdland, Dangerfield’s and The Algonquin Hotel. Moonlighting as a demo singer for composers he has built a vast recording catalog and he continues to make records to this day. His most recent release is on Sweet Rains label titled Heart On My Sleeve.  2017 David with Music Director Alex Leonard wrote another show entitled Love…The Concert. LTC garnered  great reviews and was followed up by another popular show entitled Broadway My Way which led to his winning The Bistro Award for Best Achievement Male Vocal.
